Project: Lift more and more
The FH40C project is carried out in collaboration with CVS Ferrari; a company based in Piacenza that produces lifting machinery for port and intermodal applications. The aim of this project, developed to spec. and under the supervision of CVS, was to offer the market a new machine that was more compact than competitors, but still capable of lifting up to 40 tons.
The main request of our customer was to develop this machine considering their FH42 model. This meant the majority of components and welded assemblies were going to be reused. The main modification concerned the chassis of the new machine, which reduced its length by 400mm.
This project also had as its second objective to set a new standard in project management. Using an innovative and parametric 3d modeling we had to make sure it would be easy to manage future modifications and custom changes based on clients request.
