Project: Rescue ideas
Since the early days Eping collaborates with the Italian company leader in the design, construction and marketing of firefighting, rescue and special vehicles. Over the last few years our studio has been involved in the design of various aesthetic and functional elements of special vehicles.
This winch cover was commissioned to replace an obsolete model. The customer wanted a more attractive product with a reduction in costs. We decided to go with a vacuum formed solution. In this image you can see the various steps of modeling. In fact, after a first modeling phase, the model is analyzed trying to optimize the surfaces and later deformed in order to comply with the production technique.
The process followed for this type of product follows our usual workflow. We always start from a concept phase that is then shared with the customer. Alongside the sketches are 3D model drafts used to transformed ideas on paper into three-dimensional objects.
